Global motherboard (MB) shipment slide by 12.1% QoQ at 37.5mn units in 1Q06. MB shipment should remain dismal in 2Q06 and drop by a further 10.8% at 33.4mn units. Worldwide Notebook PC shipment fell more than expected in Q1, 2006. Estimated Q1 total shipment is 15.6 million units, a decrease of about 15.4% from Q4 last year but still a 33% increase over the same quarter last year.
